That puts him in roughly the top 15% overall. Running as part of CBRE, he handled the closed-road Canary Wharf course with a well-controlled effort. His pacing was steady through 4km: 4:42, 4:39, 4:41, and 4:44/km, then he closed with a standout 4:17 final kilometre. He improved his overall position from 1,050th at 1km to 826th at the finish, gaining 224 places across the race. As a coachs note, that late speed suggests he had a little more available earlier; aiming to bring the 4km split closer to the first 3km could trim more time next outing.
