Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: James Warnock #5 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast 5K with a Strong Closing Kilometre James ran 5.00 km in 15:46, averaging 3:09/km. He finished 32nd overall out of 5,624 and 3rd male, holding that male position from the opening kilometre through the finish. In a large field at Run The Wharfs closed-road Canary Wharf 5K, that is a high-level result. His kilometre splits were 3:04, 3:09, 3:13, 3:17, and 3:06. The opening 2 km in 6:12 set an aggressive pace, then the middle section drifted slightly before a very strong final kilometre, his second-fastest of the race. That late rebound is a notable positive. As a coachs note: if he can carry the first-2 km rhythm a little deeper into kilometres 3 and 4, there is scope for an even faster overall time.
