Fast Start, Solid 5K, Slight Fade Late Wei Jian ran 5.00 km in 23:39, averaging 4:43/km. He finished 127th in the Male 1825 division and 964th of 5,624 overall, placing him in roughly the top 17% of the field. His opening kilometre was his quickest at 4:33, and he reached 2 km in 9:13 at 4:36/km average. From there, his pace settled into a narrow range: 4:49, 4:48, and 4:50 for the final 3 km. That consistency after 2 km is useful, but the early 4:33 likely cost a little in the closing stages. A slightly more even first half could help him hold closer to 4:404:45/km throughout. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, this was a well-controlled run with a strong opening position.
