Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Neil Fernandez #4432 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong pace control with a fast, even 5K Neil ran 5.00km in 24:04, averaging 4:48/km. He placed 27th in the Male 5155 division and finished ahead of most of the field, 1069th of 5624 overall. After a 4:54 opening kilometre, he settled quickly and held a steady rhythm across the remaining 4km. Kilometres 2 through 5 were very consistent at 4:46, 4:48, 4:48 and 4:48. That mid-race adjustment moved him from 32nd to 26th in his age group by 4km before a small drop to 27th at the finish. On a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, this was a well-paced run. For future races, a slightly sharper final kilometre could help turn that consistency into a quicker overall time.
