Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ella Norman #7923 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish and Consistent 5K Pacing Ella Norman ran 5.00 km in 23:07, averaging 4:37/km. She finished 168th female out of 5,624 overall participants, with a strong late move to 846th overall. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that combination of steady pacing and a sharp close stood out. Her first 4 km were very even at 4:43, 4:39, 4:44, and 4:43/km, then she closed with her quickest kilometre at 4:19/km. She improved her overall position from 1,008th at 1 km to 846th at the finish, gaining places throughout the race. That finishing speed suggests good control early on. As a coaching note, there may be scope to press slightly sooner over the middle kilometres if aiming to lower this mark next time.
