Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ludovic Ruster #5868 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish with Fastest Final Kilometre Ludovic ran 5.00 km in 30:50, averaging 6:10/km. He placed 124th in the Male 4145 division and finished ahead of more than half the field overall, placing 2640th of 5624. Representing Financial Conduct Authority, he produced a notably quick final kilometre of 5:46, his fastest of the race by 23 seconds. His pacing was steady early: 6:09/km for both of the first 2 km, followed by 6:25/km and 6:23/km through kilometres 3 and 4. He then closed strongly, improving significantly over the last kilometre. From a coaching perspective, that finishing speed suggests capacity to press a little earlier and aim for more even pacing across the middle section. This evening 5K through Canary Wharf rewarded runners who could finish well, and that was a clear strength here.
