Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Jemma Stockwell #4408 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish with fastest closing kilometre Jemma covered 5.00 km in 33:54, averaging 6:46/km. She placed 3154th of 5624 overall, 1303rd female, and 404th in the female 2630 division. Her quickest kilometre was the last in 6:35, after opening in 6:38. Through 5 km, her pacing stayed in a tight range from 6:35/km to 7:03/km. Her kilometre splits were 6:38, 6:52, 7:03, 6:48, and 6:35. She gained places early, moving from 3227th at 1 km to 3036th at 2 km, and was still ahead of her opening position at 4 km. The closing kilometre was a good sign of retained strength. As a coachs note, smoothing out the middle section could bring the overall average down further at future evening 5Ks like this fast Canary Wharf route.
