Her opening kilometre was 7:45, followed by splits of 9:00, 8:38, 8:17, and 8:28 per km. The key stat was her rebound after kilometre 2: she cut pace from 9:00/km to 8:38/km, then posted her quickest mid-race kilometre at 8:17/km in kilometre 4. That shows good composure after the early slowdown. The final kilometre was also close to her overall average at 8:28/km. For the next race, aiming for a slightly more even effort across kilometres 13 could help convert that strong fourth kilometre into a faster overall time, especially on a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf.
