Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Bonita Wallace #6113 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Opening Km, Then a Steady Finish Bonita completed the 5K in 43:15, averaging 8:39/km. Her fastest kilometre was the first in 6:26/km, followed by 9:09, 9:18, 9:25, and a stronger final kilometre in 9:00/km. That late pickup was a good sign after the slower middle section. She finished 374th in the Female 3135 category out of a field of 5,624 overall. This Canary Wharf evening 5K is known for its closed-road city route and social atmosphere, and Bonita gave herself a solid early platform. The main coaching point is pacing: the gap between her opening kilometre and the rest of the race was large, and a more even effort would likely help her hold speed deeper into the run. The improved last kilometre suggests she still had enough left to finish with purpose.
