Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Marie Fuller #1179 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish with a well-paced final kilometre Marie Fuller covered 5.00 km in 26:09, averaging 5:13/km. She placed 19th in the Female 4145 division, 408th female, and 1557th overall out of 5624. Her opening kilometre was 5:12, then she held a very steady middle section with 5:18, 5:17 and 5:17 splits. The standout stat was her closing kilometre in 5:06, the fastest of the race and 12 seconds quicker than her slowest split. She improved her division position from 25th at 1 km to 16th through 34 km before settling at 19th by the finish. That finishing speed is a good sign; the next step is working on holding that sharper pace a little earlier to turn a strong close into a faster overall 5K.
