Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Yasmin Yeates #7761 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Opening Kilometre Set Up a Solid 5K Yasmin completed the 5K in 34:25, averaging 6:53/km. Her fastest kilometre was the first in 6:06, and she reached 2K in 13:05. Through 3K she was at 20:19, then closed with 7:07 and 7:00 final kilometres. That gave her a steady final 2K after the early pace change. She finished 3,237th of 5,624 overall, 1,365th female, and 287th in the female 3135 category. The key stat is the contrast between the opening 1K and the rest of the race: after 6:06, her next four kilometres ranged from 6:59 to 7:15/km. As a coachs note, a slightly more controlled first kilometre could help her hold a more even pace deeper into the race, especially in a fast evening 5K like this Canary Wharf run.
