Strong Final Kilometre Lifts Overall 5K Pace Shenna covered 5.00 km in 33:54, averaging 6:46/km. She placed 157th in the Female 3640 division and finished ahead of a large part of the 5,624-runner field in a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. Her quickest kilometre came at the end, with a 6:34 final km, after opening with 6:40. The pacing trend was steady overall: 6:40, 6:46, 7:04, 6:53, then 6:34. That closing split was 30 seconds faster than km 3 and 19 seconds faster than km 4, showing a strong finish. As a coachs note, bringing km 3 closer to the pace of the opening 2 km would likely lower the overall time meaningfully, because the speed to do it was clearly there late in the race.
