She placed 85th in the Female 3135 division and finished ahead of a large share of the 5,624-runner field. Her pacing improved through the race: 5:23, 5:30, 5:27, 5:16, then 5:09 for the final kilometre. That closing sequence stands out. After 3 km in 16:19, she covered the last 2 km in 10:24, averaging 5:12/km, 14 seconds per km quicker than her first 3 km average of 5:26/km. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that finish shows good control and strong late-race execution. Next step as a coach: aim to bring kilometre 2 closer to the rest of the race to make the pacing even sharper.
