Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Dapo Alade #218 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish with Consistent 5K Pacing He ran 5.00 km in 22:16, averaging 4:27/km. That placed him 664th of 5,624 overall, putting him well inside the top 12% of the field. In his age group, he finished 136th, and 421st among men. For a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, this was a solid performance built on control and a late push. His pacing was steady early: 1 km in 4:24, 2 km in 8:48, then 3 km and 4 km both at 4:36. The standout stat was the closing kilometre in 4:18, his quickest of the race, which gained 18 overall places from 4 km to the finish. That finishing speed is a strong sign. The main opportunity is to hold a little more of that early rhythm through kilometres 3 and 4.
