Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Minesh Patel #1659 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish and steady 5K pacing Minesh ran 5.00 km in 23:51, averaging 4:46/km. In a field of 5,624, he finished 1,014th overall, 661st among men, and 85th in the mens 3640 division. Representing Canary Wharf Run Club, he raced well at an event known for its fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. His pacing showed a useful pattern: 1 km in 4:52, 2 km in 4:34, 3 km in 5:02, 4 km in 4:47, and 5 km in 4:37. The standout stat was the close: his final kilometre was his fastest, 25 seconds quicker than his opening kilometre. He also moved up from 104th to 85th in his age group over the race. As a coachs note, smoothing out the third kilometre would likely bring his overall time down further.
