Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Shokhbozbek Makhmudov #7805 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Well-Paced 5K He covered 5.00 km in 19:05, averaging 3:49/km. Out of 5,624 runners, he finished 207th overall, 97th male, and 31st in the mens 2630 division. That placed him in roughly the top 4% of the field. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that is a solid result. His pacing was controlled and improved as the race went on: 3:49, 4:01, 3:56, 3:40, and 3:41 per km. After the second kilometre, he steadily moved up the field, improving from 286th at 2 km to 207th at the finish. The closing 2 km were the quickest section at 3:40/km and 3:41/km, showing strong finishing speed. The main opportunity is to smooth out km 2 so the effort stays more even early on.
