Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Georgia Malliaka #2658 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong negative split and best pace in the second half Georgia covered 5.00 km in 30:44, averaging 6:08/km. She placed 112th in the Female 3640 division and finished ahead of more than half the field overall (2606 of 5624). In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, her pacing was the standout stat. She opened with 2 km in 12:46 at 6:23/km, then ran the final 3 km in 17:58 at 5:59/km. Kilometres 3 and 4 were especially strong at 6:12 and 5:50, her quickest stretch of the race, before closing with 5:58. She improved position steadily through 4 km, moving from 136th to 110th in her division. As a coachs note: the late-race speed was there, so a slightly more assertive first 2 km could help convert that strong finish into a quicker overall time.
