Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Franklyn Brown #7940 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Opening, Then Steady to the Finish Franklyn Brown completed the 5K in 27:41, averaging 5:32/km. He placed 100th in the Male 4145 division and finished ahead of a large share of the 5,624-runner field. His fastest kilometre was the first in 5:01, and he reached 2K in 10:31. From there, his pace settled at 5:30, 5:45, 5:55, and 5:32 per kilometre, with a stronger final kilometre than his fourth. That late response is a useful positive on a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. As a coaching note, a slightly more controlled first kilometre could help him hold closer to his early pace deeper into the race.
