Strong Finish After Mid-Race Dip Mahantesh covered 5.00 km in 44:48, averaging 8:57/km. In a field of 5,624, he finished 348th in the M3135 division. His opening kilometre was his quickest at 6:31/km, and he closed well with his final 2 km in 16:30, averaging 8:15/km. The middle section was the main limiter: km 2 and 3 slowed to 10:18/km and 11:30/km before he regained rhythm. He then improved each kilometre from there, moving to 8:46/km and 7:45/km to finish. That rebound is a useful positive on a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. For the next race, a more even effort after the strong start could help him hold momentum earlier and lower the overall average pace.
