Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ka Fun Lee #3832 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast opening kilometre set up a steady 5K finish Ka Fun Lee completed the 5K in 35:54, averaging 7:10/km across the full distance. Her quickest kilometre was the first in 6:10, and she reached 3K in 20:31 before finishing with an 8:06 final kilometre. She placed 1,498th of 5,624 women and 455th in the female 2630 division. The pacing trend was clear: 6:10, 6:51, 7:31, 7:17, then 8:06 per kilometre. That strong first kilometre stood out, especially in an evening Canary Wharf 5K built for fast closed-road running. As a coachs note, a slightly more even effort through the opening 2K could help preserve pace deeper into the race and reduce the gap between the early and late kilometres.
