Steady opening, strong middle, consistent 5K pacing Smriti ran 5.00 km in 29:46, averaging 5:57/km. She opened with her quickest kilometre in 5:45, then stayed close to that rhythm through 2 km in 11:37 and 3 km in 17:44. Her middle section was the standout statistically: by 3 km she had moved up to 2,271st overall from 2,421st at 1 km, and to 155th in the female 1825 division from 174th. The final 2 km were solid at 6:00 and 6:03, bringing her home just under 30 minutes. She finished 2,410th overall out of 5,624, 834th female, and 171st in her age group. The pacing range across all 5 kilometres was only 23 seconds, which shows good control. For the next race, aiming to hold the 2 km pace a little deeper into the closing kilometres could trim the overall time further.
