She finished 208th woman out of a field of 5,624 overall runners, with a strong middle section helping shape the result. Her quickest kilometre was km 2 in 4:31, moving her up from 217th to 186th among women and from 76th to 64th in her age group. Her pacing was steady overall: 4:49, 4:31, 4:48, 4:49, 4:47. After the surge in km 2, she held the rest of the race within a narrow 2-second range from km 3 to km 5, which shows good control. As a coachs note, there may be a little more available by smoothing the opening kilometre closer to goal pace, especially on a quick evening 5K like Run The Wharf through Canary Wharf.
