Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Salma Aldesouki #3990 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish with Progressive Closing Kilometres Salma completed the 5K in 43:08, averaging 8:37/km. She placed 301st in the female 1825 division, 1,759th among women, and 3,805th overall out of 5,624 finishers. Her opening kilometre was her quickest at 6:52, and she closed well over the second half with splits of 8:39 and 8:08. After a slower middle section of 10:07 and 9:23 for kilometres 2 and 3, she regained rhythm effectively and finished with her fastest sustained running after the start. That late improvement is a useful positive on a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. As a coachs note, aiming for a steadier pace across the middle kilometres could help turn a strong finish into a quicker overall time.
