Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Adrian Croxall #6697 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Steady Opening Pace with a Solid Sub-31-Minute 5K Adrian ran 5.0 km in 30:21, averaging 6:04/km. He was quickest over the opening kilometre in 5:40, then held 5:57 and 6:04 for the next two kilometres, reaching 3 km in 17:41. His final two kilometres were 6:23 and 6:18, showing a small fade but still keeping every kilometre under 6:25. In a field of 5,624, he finished 70th in the M51-55 division. A useful stat: the first 3 km averaged 5:54/km, compared with 6:21/km for the last 2 km. That points to a strong base pace, with the main opportunity being to hold that early rhythm deeper into the race. At Run The Wharf, a closed-road evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that consistent opening section gave him a solid platform.
