Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Martin Allison #4454 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish Lifted the Overall Pace Martin ran 5.00km in 22:32, averaging 4:30/km. He placed 716th of 5,624 overall, 453rd among men, and 64th in the M36-40 division. That puts him in roughly the top 13% of the field overall. Representing Kraken Technologies, he put together a steady evening run at Run The Wharf, the closed-road Canary Wharf 5K. His pacing showed a useful progression: 4:25, 4:35, 4:42, 4:33, then 4:20 for the final kilometre. After a slower middle section, he regained rhythm well and finished with his quickest kilometre, moving up 26 places overall from 4km to the line. As a coachs note, the finishing speed is a strong positive; holding a little more of that early-race control through kilometres 2-3 could trim more time next outing.
