Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Alya Jassim #3182 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Well-Paced 5K Alya ran 5.00 km in 30:28, averaging 6:05/km at Run The Wharf in Canary Wharf. She finished 2551st of 5624 overall, placing in the top half of the field, and 200th in the Female 3135 division. Her pacing was steady through 4 km, with splits of 6:04, 6:18, 6:14, and 6:16. The standout stat was her final kilometre: 5:39, her fastest of the race by 25 seconds compared with her next-best kilometre. She also improved her position late, moving from 926th to 914th among women over the last kilometre. That finish shows good reserve and race control. For a stronger overall time next outing, aim to bring a little more of that final-kilometre pace into the middle section.
