Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Kenneth Mak #6707 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Close with Even Early Pace Kenneth ran 5.00 km in 23:31, averaging 4:42/km. He placed 31st in the Male 4650 division and finished ahead of most of the field, 933rd of 5,624 overall. His opening 2 km were very steady at 4:40/km for both kilometres, giving him a controlled start on a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. The middle of the race dipped slightly to 4:51/km in km 3, but he settled well at 4:46/km in km 4 and closed with his quickest kilometre, 4:35/km. That final km moved him from 33rd to 31st in his age group and from 935th to 933rd overall. As a coachs note, carrying that finishing pace a little earlier could bring his overall time down further.
