Strong negative split and fastest final kilometre Emily covered 5.00 km in 31:07, averaging 6:13/km. She finished 2,695th of 5,624 overall, 1,005th woman, and 318th in the female 2630 division. Her splits improved throughout: 6:35, 6:34, 6:17, 6:13, then a quickest closing kilometre of 5:30. That progression was the standout stat. From the opening to closing kilometre, pace improved by 1:05/km, and she gained 450 overall places from 1 km to the finish. In a fast closed-road Canary Wharf 5K built around Friday Night Lights evening social atmosphere, finishing strongest suggests good control early and confidence late. As a coaching note, aiming to bring the third and fourth kilometres slightly closer to that final-kilometre effort could lower the overall time further.
