Strong negative split and top-15 age-group finish She completed the 5K in 31:49, averaging 6:21/km. Her age-group result stands out most: 15th in the Female 55+ division, alongside 1083rd female and 2820th overall out of 5624 finishers. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, she steadily improved her position through 4 km and held her age-group placing to the finish. The pacing trend was excellent. Each kilometre got quicker: 6:45, 6:33, 6:22, 6:19, then a fastest final kilometre of 5:52. That is a 53-second improvement from first to last kilometre, showing strong control and a very effective finish. As a coaching note, the clearest opportunity is to start a little closer to her mid-race rhythm; even a slightly quicker opening kilometre could bring the overall time down further while keeping this strong closing speed.
