Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Amelia Griffiths #2477 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Steady 5K Execution Amelia ran 5.00 km in 33:24, averaging 6:40/km. She opened with her quickest kilometre at 6:15, then settled into a consistent middle section: 7:06, 6:50 and 6:46/km. Her final kilometre was a solid 6:29, her second-fastest of the race and 37 seconds quicker than kilometres 24 average. She finished 3,077th of 5,624 overall, placing 1,249th among women and 230th in the female 1825 division. The closing kilometre stands out most: she moved from 6:46 to 6:29/km late, which shows good finishing strength. For the next race, the main opportunity is to smooth the pace after the fast opening kilometre; a slightly more even first 2 km could support a stronger overall time at this fast evening Canary Wharf 5K.
