Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Lauren Glover #2461 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Well-Paced Progression Lauren completed 5.0 km in 31:07, averaging 6:13/km. She finished 1,003rd female out of 5,624 overall participants, with a solid closing stretch in a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. Her pacing improved steadily after the opening kilometre: 6:14, 6:37, 6:27, 6:05, then a quickest final kilometre of 5:45. From 2 km onward, she moved up notably through the field, gaining 109 places overall between 2 km and 4 km. That late-race strength stands out most. As a coachs note, the main opportunity is to smooth out the second kilometre so it matches the stronger rhythm she found over the second half; the closing pace shows she had more to use late.
