Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Freya Wilcock #682 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Steady Finish for a Strong 5K Freya ran 5.00 km in 22:41, averaging 4:32/km. She placed 142nd of 5,624 women and 46th in the female 2630 division, a solid result in a large field. Her opening kilometre was her quickest at 4:19, and she was through 2 km in 8:54 at 4:27/km. From there, she stayed consistent with splits of 4:44, 4:38, and a strong closing kilometre of 4:26. That late rebound is a good sign of control after the fast start. The main opportunity is pacing the first 2 km a little more evenly with her overall average, which could help preserve momentum through the middle of the race. Run The Wharfs closed-road evening 5K suited a quick, efficient performance here.
