Strong Negative Split and Fast Final Kilometer Besma completed the 5K in 30:00, averaging 6:00/km for the full distance. She covered the opening kilometer in 6:35, then steadily improved through 6:01, 6:10, 6:04, and closed with her quickest kilometer at 5:13. That final kilometer was 1:22 faster than her first, a clear negative-split finish. She moved up well across the race, finishing 2450th of 5624 overall, 859th female, and 186th in the female 3135 division. By 2 km she had already gained several hundred places overall, and she improved again with a strong close. As a coaching note, the trend was solid throughout; a slightly quicker opening kilometer, while keeping this controlled progression, could help lower the overall time next time.
