Fast Start and Steady Sub-4:30/km 5K Harry ran 5.0km in 22:18, averaging 4:27/km. He finished 85th in the Male 1825 division and placed ahead of the large majority of the 5,624-runner field. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, he opened well with a quickest first kilometre of 4:16, then stayed controlled across the rest of the race. His kilometre splits were 4:16, 4:23, 4:36, 4:34 and 4:31. That gave him a strong first 2km in 8:38 before pace eased slightly through the middle, then improved again in the final kilometre. The consistency from 3km onward is a positive sign. As a coaching point, aiming to bring kilometres 3 and 4 closer to the opening 2km would move this performance forward.
