Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ray Fagbenro #6714 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast finish and top-15 age-group result Ray ran 5.00 km in 20:15, averaging 4:03/km. He placed 357th of 5,624 overall, 199th male, and 15th in the male 4145 category. That age-group result stands out, and he also finished inside the top 6.4% of the field. At an evening closed-road 5K through Canary Wharf, this was a strong, efficient run. His pacing was controlled across the race: 3:57, 4:07, 4:05, 4:09, and 4:00 per km. After the quickest opening kilometre, he kept the middle 3 km within 4 seconds per km, then closed with his second-fastest kilometre. He improved from 395th at 1 km to 357th at the finish, gaining 38 places overall. The main coaching note: a slightly steadier first kilometre could help set up an even stronger final 2 km.
