Her pacing was steady through 4 km: 4:41, 4:39, 4:47, and 4:45 per km, then she closed with her quickest kilometre in 4:20. That final kilometre was a clear strength and helped improve her position late in the race, moving from 34th to 29th in her division over the closing stages. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that kind of finish stands out. As a coaching point, there may be an opportunity to bring a little more of that closing speed into the middle kilometres while keeping the same strong finish.
