He improved from 144th at 1 km to 99th at the line, gaining 45 places overall, and moved from 10th to 7th in his age group. The standout stat is the closing kilometre, which suggests strong finishing speed. The only notable dip was kilometre 4; smoothing that section could bring the overall time down further.
