Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Lucy Loughrey #3837 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish Caps a Steady 5K Lucy covered 5.00 km in 34:45, averaging 6:57/km. Her first 3 km were very even at 6:59, 7:02, and 6:59/km, reaching 3 km in 20:59. She then ran 7:09/km for the fourth kilometre before closing strongly with her fastest section at 6:39/km over the final kilometre. That late surge is the standout stat and shows good finishing strength. She also moved up well early, improving from 3,406th overall at 1 km to 3,234th by 3 km. Final positions were 3,283rd of 5,624 overall, 1,397th female, and 430th in the female 2630 division. For the next race, aiming to hold that final-kilometre rhythm a little earlier could trim time from the middle of the run.
