Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Francesca Clemens #2338 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast finish caps a steady 5K Francesca ran 5.00 km in 27:40, averaging 5:32/km. She placed 1,926th of 5,624 overall, 569th female, and 187th in the female 2630 division. Her opening kilometre was her quickest at 5:17, and she closed strongly with a 5:18 final kilometre, nearly matching that early pace. The middle section was consistent: 5:43, 5:37, and 5:48 from kilometres 24 before that late rebound. That finishing response is a useful sign of control, especially in a fast evening 5K built around Canary Wharfs closed roads and post-run social atmosphere. For the next race, aiming to smooth out kilometres 24 could help her convert that strong finish into a quicker overall time.
