Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Alice Waters #3590 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Steady 5K Execution Alice ran 5.00 km in 30:01, averaging 6:00/km. She placed 52nd in the female 4145 division, 860th female, and 2453rd overall out of 5624. Her 1 km splits were 5:57, 6:01, 6:15, 6:05, and 5:44, with the fastest kilometre coming at the end. This was a solid evening 5K on the closed roads of Canary Wharf, where the event blends racing with Friday Night Lights social run atmosphere. The key stat is the finish: after the slower third kilometre, she closed with her quickest kilometre at 5:44/km. That late speed shows good reserve. For an even stronger result next time, aim to keep the middle kilometres closer to the opening pace.
