Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ali Ahmad #215 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong 5K with a Fast Final Kilometre Ali ran 5.00 km in 20:20, averaging 4:04/km. He placed 368th of 5,624 overall, putting him in roughly the top 7% of the field, and 206th among men. In the mens 2630 division, he finished 68th. At a closed-road evening 5K built for speed through Canary Wharf, that is a solid result. His pacing was consistent: 4:02, 3:59, 4:09, 4:12, then 4:01/km. The quickest kilometre came early, but the standout stat is the finish: after two slower middle kilometres, he closed with his second-fastest split and gained two overall places late. That suggests good composure over the final kilometre. For an even quicker time next outing, the main opportunity is to hold kilometre 34 closer to early-race pace.
