Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Alexander De Swaef #266 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish and Strong Mid-Race Consistency Alexander ran 5.00 km in 19:28, averaging 3:53/km. He finished 250th of 5,624, placing 128th among men and 34th in the M3135 division. That puts him in the top 4.4% overall. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that is a strong return. His pacing was well controlled: 3:50, 4:00, 3:54, 3:57, 3:50 per km. After a slight dip in the second kilometre, he settled into a very steady middle section before matching his opening pace in the final kilometre. He also moved up from 321st at 1 km to 250th at the finish, gaining 71 places overall. As a coachs note, trimming that second kilometre closer to the rest of the race could make the pacing even sharper.
