Steady 5K with Consistent Middle Kilometres Anisha covered 5.00 km in 42:10, averaging 8:26/km. She placed 223rd in the Female 3640 division and finished ahead of roughly a third of the 5,624 starters. Her opening kilometre was her quickest at 7:55, and she settled into a narrow range from 8:24/km to 8:48/km across the rest of the race. The strongest section for pacing was km 34, where she matched 8:35 then 8:24 and held position well. The final kilometre was 8:31, showing she kept control late on after the fast start. For future races, aiming to keep km 1 a little closer to overall pace could support a more even effort across all 5 km. Run The Wharfs evening closed-road format suited a steady, consistent run.
