She cut 44 seconds per km from first to last kilometre and gained places through 4 km, moving from 2,929th overall at 1 km to 2,624th at 4 km. In an evening Canary Wharf 5K built for quick running through closed roads, this was a well-controlled effort with a very strong close. Next step as a coach: aim to bring the first 2 km slightly closer to the pace of the middle kilometres to unlock a faster overall time.
