Fast Finish and Strong Mid-Race Control Adam ran 5.00 km in 22:17, averaging 4:27/km. He finished 58th in the Male 3640 division and moved up well through the field, ending 666th overall out of 5,624. His opening kilometre was 4:29, followed by a slight dip to 4:44 at 2 km, then three quicker closing kilometres of 4:29, 4:30, and 4:07. That final kilometre was the standout stat: 22 seconds faster than race-average pace and his quickest of the night by a clear margin. He improved from 79th to 58th in his age group over the race, showing strong progression after 2 km. As a coachs note, the key gain is in smoothing out the second kilometre; with that matched more closely to the rest of the race, he could turn a solid evening 5K through Canary Wharf into an even sharper result.
