Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Eamonn Mulhall #5855 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Start, Solid Finish for a Sub-25 5K He ran 5.00 km in 24:36, averaging 4:55/km. Among 5,624 finishers, he placed 1,178th overall and 66th in the male 4145 division. His fastest kilometre was the opening 1 km in 4:47, and he closed well with a 4:50 final kilometre. At a Friday evening city 5K built for speed through Canary Wharf, that gave him a strong sub-25 result. The pacing pattern was clear: 4:47, 4:51, 5:02, 5:07, then back to 4:50. He held the first 2 km at 4:48/km, then gave up time through kilometres 3 and 4 before finishing with his second-fastest split. That late rebound is a good sign. For an even quicker overall time, the main opportunity is to keep kilometres 34 closer to his early pace.
