Strong Finish Lifted the Final Result Charlotte completed the 5K in 29:25, averaging 5:53/km. She finished 2331st of 5624 overall, 781st female, and 243rd in the female 2630 division. Her opening kilometre was her quickest full kilometre at 5:45, and she closed especially well with a 5:02 final kilometre, the fastest of her race. After 3km, her pace had drifted to 6:08/km overall, but she regained momentum over the second half with a 5:59 fourth kilometre and that sharp final push. That late acceleration moved her up 110 places overall from 4km to the finish. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that finishing speed stands out. As a coachs note: the biggest opportunity is holding the 1km effort more steadily through kilometres 2 and 3, which would bring the overall time down further.
