Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Harriet Salmon #6793 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Steady 5K with a Fast Start and Consistent Closing Harriet ran 23:11 for 5.00 km, averaging 4:38/km. She placed 861st of 5,624 overall, 173rd female, and 59th in the female 2630 division. Her opening kilometre was the quickest at 4:33, and she stayed tightly grouped from there with splits of 4:37, 4:42, 4:43, and 4:37. That consistency stands out: just 10 seconds separated her fastest and slowest full kilometres, and she finished strongly with her joint-second fastest kilometre in the final 1 km. She also moved up through 3 km, reaching 822nd overall and 160th before giving back a few places late. For a faster overall time next outing, aiming to hold the early rhythm through kilometres 3 and 4 could help.
