Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Lauren Evans #2420 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong negative split with a fast final 2K Lauren Evans completed the 5K in 28:31, averaging 5:42/km. She finished 2,128th of 5,624 overall, 673rd female, and 213th in the female 2630 division. Her pacing improved steadily across the race: 6:08 for the opening kilometre, then 5:58 and 6:04 through 3K, before a strong lift to 5:20 for the fourth kilometre and 5:04 for the fifth. That closing section stands out. She cut 1:04 from first kilometre to last and improved her overall position from 2,735 at 1K to 2,128 at the finish, gaining 607 places. Among women, she moved up 336 spots from 1,009th to 673rd. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, this was a well-managed effort; the key next step is aiming to bring that late-race pace closer to the early kilometres.
