Strong Closing Kilometre and Consistent 5K Effort Maren completed the 5K in 40:07, averaging 8:01/km. She placed 291st in the Female 1825 division, 1681st among women, and 3700th overall out of 5624 finishers. Her opening 2km were very steady at 7:59/km and 8:00/km, setting up a controlled first half. From 3km to 4km, pace eased slightly to 8:07/km and 8:18/km, then she responded well with her fastest kilometre at the finish: 7:45/km. That late surge was a strong stat and shows good closing speed. For the next race, aiming to hold the early rhythm deeper into kilometres 3 and 4 could bring down the overall average pace. Run The Wharfs evening closed-road format suited a measured start and assertive finish well.
